Qiddiya City Golf Course Features Platinum TE Paspalum from Atlas Turf Arabia

The newest Faldo Design project in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia, is currently grassing the 18-hole championship course wall-to-wall with Platinum TE Paspalum sourced from Atlas Turf Arabia. As the only turf farm in the Kingdom offering certified turfgrass, Atlas Turf Arabia provides quality turfgrass with the backing of international certification worthy of projects of the calibre of Faldo Design and Qiddiya City.

Platinum TE Paspalum is known for its sustainability features, including unmatched salt tolerance, giving it the ability to withstand challenging soils and effluent water irrigation. In addition, Platinum TE is heat and drought tolerant, making it ideal for the Middle East climate.

Platinum TE’s playability with upright growth habit, durability, and wear tolerance will benefit the Qiddiya City course as well. In partnership with the Faldo Series, the new course will host championship events. The course is also slated as a venue for junior golf development. Its 3-hole loop design offers versatility for play and an innovative golf setting for professionals and beginners alike.

The vibrant green color of Platinum TE provides a stunning aesthetic against the backdrop of the Tuwaiq Mountains. Sir Nick Faldo said, “Every hole is an instant postcard.”
